Legal Assistant/Bookkeeper
With 38 years of experience in the legal field, I have had the privilege of working alongside many wonderful attorneys throughout my career. At Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C., I serve as a legal assistant, supporting our probate, estate planning, and mediation practices. I also handle the firm’s bookkeeping.
Outside of work, family is a big part of my life, and I’m especially excited to have a new grandbaby to spoil! I’m also an animal lover and enjoy spending time with my two cats, along with my many grandcats and granddogs.
Gabby Crooks
Legal Assistant
For over four years, I have primarily assisted with workers’ compensation matters at Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and Education, my interest in high-profile legal cases and pop culture sparked my curiosity about the legal field and inspired me to pursue a career in it. I enjoy helping wherever I’m needed and am known for bringing a sense of humor to the workplace.
Outside of the office, I’m a homebody at heart and love spending time curled up with my cats. When my friends and family convince me to venture out, you can almost guarantee I’ll suggest stopping somewhere for a little treat along the way!
Amy Auringer
Legal Assistant
With more than 10 years of experience in the legal field, I’ve spent much of my career focusing on workers’ compensation matters. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the challenges injured workers face and the legal process involved in their claims. I take pride in being someone clients can depend on for support, guidance, and clear communication during what can be a stressful time.
I’m known for my attention to detail, compassion, and determination to get things done. I genuinely enjoy helping others, answering questions, and making sure clients feel informed and supported throughout their cases. While workers’ compensation is my primary focus, I’ve also gained experience in other areas of law, which has helped me develop a well-rounded understanding of the legal field.
I’ve lived in Dysart, Iowa, my entire life and have strong ties to my family and community. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, crafting, and coaching youth soccer. As a wife and mother, family means everything to me, and I love finding ways to stay involved and give back to the community.
I believe in working hard, treating people with kindness, and standing up for what I believe is right. I’m proud to be part of the team at Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C., where I have the opportunity to support our clients and make a positive difference in their lives.
Adna Seferagic
Legal Assistant
I’m proud to call Waterloo, Iowa, home and am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Mental Health.
As a Family Law Legal Assistant at Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C., I draw on both my education and professional experience to support our clients. Before entering the legal field, I worked in mental health, helping individuals through difficult and often emotional situations. That experience continues to influence how I approach my work today. I understand that family law matters can be deeply personal, and I strive to make every client feel welcomed, heard, and supported with compassion and respect.
Giving back to others is also important to me. I’m a proud volunteer with Letters Against Depression, an organization that provides encouragement and support to people experiencing difficult times. I value the relationships I’ve built within my community and enjoy finding meaningful ways to stay connected and make a difference.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with family and friends, especially when shopping and good food are involved! I also enjoy getting creative through scrapbooking and making wax melts, which give me a chance to relax and express my creative side.

Over the years, I’ve developed a strong attention to detail, a love for staying organized, and the ability to remain calm when things get busy. I genuinely enjoy helping others, solving problems, and doing my part to keep things running smoothly.
Outside of work, my world revolves around my husband, Carter, and our two children, Finley and Warren. They’re my favorite people and the biggest part of my life. I enjoy the simple things, like spending time with family, making memories, and laughing a little too hard at things that probably aren’t that funny.
When I find a little time for myself, you’ll usually catch me playing video games, crocheting, or getting lost in a good book. I love having hobbies that allow me to relax, get creative, and have a little fun along the way.
Amber Meyer

Originally from Aurora, Iowa, I joined Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C. as a Legal Assistant in April 2026 and work in the firm’s Waterloo office. I graduated from Hawkeye Community College in December 2025 with an Associate Degree in Human Resource Management. Family is a big part of my life. My husband, Jeremy, and I have been married for 10 years, and we have two wonderful daughters, Aubree and Kenadee. I love spending time with my family and friends, whether we’re making memories together or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Outside of work, I have plenty of interests that keep me busy! I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching Lifetime movies and true crime documentaries, couponing, and going to concerts. I also love spending time near the water, even though I can’t swim! One of my long-term dreams is to someday trade Iowa winters for Florida sunshine and call the Sunshine State home.

O Sadmiri
Porijeklom sam iz Bosne i ponosna sam što sam dio tima advokatske kancelarije Ball, Kirk & Holm, P.C., gdje radim kao pravna asistentica. Uživam u pružanju podrške našim advokatima i nastojim doprinijeti tome da svaki klijent dobije pažnju, razumijevanje i pouzdanu uslugu koju zaslužuje.
